GREAT NEWS TO COME AS RESULT OF JUNE'S HOUSE JUDICIARY SUBCOMITTEE HEARING, SEPTEMBER'S SENATE COMMERCE HEARING, AND THE OVER 600 LETTER YOU WROTE TO BRENT BOYD TO PERSONALLY HAND TO CONGRESS AS PART OF BOTH HIS TESTIMONIES - YOUR LETTERS WERE READ AND WE WILL SEE HOW BIG A DIFFERNCE WE MADE TOGETHER
let's see the results, perhaps soon! April 2008 We have immediate deadlines to submit new disability applications, appeasement too late from Alliance BUT we have been given NO applications!!! If you don't submit that non-existent application, they say, exactly on time,..you are screwed for life!!! This by the same group who, with an army of attornies, could not/ would not answer the United States Congress' questions within WEEKS after their deadline... THIS from the group who, as the phrase Brent Boyd coined, have been abusing us with "DELAY, DENY, AND HOPE WE DIE!" INCREASE IN DISABILITY PAYMENTS Those who alredy receive non-football related disability just had their montly bnefits almost doubled....not good enoug, not the full payments deserved, so don't get complacent. But, even this small improvement would not have occurred without pressure from all our fronts,, not just one but attacking from every possible angle.
/the increase coincidentally came shortly after the chart posted on this website showing that TWO men, Goodell at $11.7 million, and Upshaw at $7 million and growing..2 men made the same amount roughly as the NFL admitted they paid annually to ALL disabled players, $20 mil We can always count on Bernie Parrish to dig up the numbers, thanks Bernie for your diligence.

Ell hides in his lair directly across from the WHITE HOUSE..paid by fees out of OUR OWN RETIREMENT FUND to deny US benefits, to join cases in Supreme Court that take our rights away /the 1st action of the Boyd plan was to fire Groom Law..most of the other actions recommeneded by Boyd have been implemented (w/o acknowldgent) but not until Groom is fired and long gone can we resume trust

From News Services and Staff Reports "COURTS: A U.S. District Court judge in San Francisco approved a request filed by former NFL players Bernie Parrish and Herb Adderley to refile a lawsuit against Players Inc., the marketing subsidiary of the NFL Players Association. The suit, which alleges that Players Inc. denied millions of dollars in royalties from licensing and marketing opportunities, was thrown out two months ago because Parrish and Adderley had failed to adequately prove their claims. At the time, the players' attorney, Ron Katz, said they needed documents from Players Inc. to buttress the charges. Once those documents were handed over, the request to refile was made." ********

"To say that the NFLPA is 'doctor shopping,' we don't have anything to do with it, with the process," Upshaw said. The facts say otherwise. The retirement board, the ultimate authority on disability cases, is made up of three league and three union representatives. To say the union has nothing to do with the process is simply untrue. Upshaw went on to say, "If a doctor determines that a player is entitled to a disability and he meets the standards he gets it." But in Boyd's case, two doctors, chosen by the retirement board, determined his disability was football-related and his claim was still rejected.
